Usain Bolt declares, “My sports life is over,” quitting all sports.
The eight-time Olympian intends to give up on his goal of playing football to concentrate on business.

Usain Bolt’s

representative Ricky Simms has confirmed to Olympic Channel that Bolt will no longer compete at the highest level of sport.

The world’s fastest ma

n had retired from athletics in 2017 and set out to become a successful football player.

Bolt, however, is now concentrating on other things after he was unable to obtain a professional deal despite having prominent stints with many elite clubs

ESPN cited Usain Bolt as stating, “I’m now moving into different businesses, I have a lot of things in the pipeline, so as I say, I’m just dabbling in everything and trying to be a business man now.”

The eight-time Olympic champion had frequently expressed his want to play professional football and had enjoyed training sessions with teams like German powerhouse Borussia Dortmund and Norwegian squad Stromsgodset.

His most memorable stint was during a trial with Central Coast Mariners, an Australian club, where he scored twice in a friendly match. He and the club were unable to come to an agreement on a deal, though.

Even though Bolt’s football career ended abruptly, his achievements on the track have cemented him as the uncontested sprint king.

He lit up the Beijing 2008 Olympics by winning the 100-meter race and setting a new world mark. He then won the 200-meter race and established a new Olympic record. He had imitated the two-game victory at the 1984 Los Angeles Olympics by Carl Lewis.

Bolt made history in London 2012 by becoming the first athlete to successfully defend both sprint titles.

However, at Rio 2016, he set the bar even higher. The Jamaican sprinter made history by winning the 100-meter race three times in a row. She then accomplished the same feat in the 200-meter race.

His achievements were recorded in the books, and he left the Games as a legend.
