Six home games highlight the non-conference portion of the 2024-25 Northern Illinois University men’s basketball schedule, along with numerous matchups against in-state opposition and the second season of the MAC/Sun Belt Challenge.

As previously announced, the campaign will begin with a trip to Statesboro, Ga., to take on Georgia Southern in the MAC/Sun Belt Challenge on Monday, Nov. 4.

The second game of the MAC/Sun Belt Challenge will take place at home on Saturday, Feb. 8, against an opponent to be announced in January.

Following the opener at Georgia Southern, NIU will return home for three of the next four, beginning against Holy Cross College on Thursday, Nov. 7.

The Huskies will then host Monmouth on Tuesday, Nov. 12, in the back half of a home-and-home series against the Hawks.

NIU will then take on Bradley for the first time since 2010 as the Huskies travel to Peoria on Saturday, Nov. 16. The matchup with the Braves will be followed by a home game against Elon on Wednesday, Nov. 20.

The Huskies will then play a trio of road games in the DePaul Classic, beginning with a visit to Chicago to meet the host Blue Demons on Saturday, Nov. 23. The tournament will also see NIU visit Valparaiso on Tuesday, Nov. 29 and Eastern Illinois on Friday, Nov. 29.

After a home game against Benedictine on Tuesday, Dec. 3, the Huskies will play back-to-back road games against Missouri Valley Conference foes as they travel to Northern Iowa on Saturday, Dec. 7, and Illinois State on Wednesday, Dec. 18, following a break for finals. The matchup with the Redbirds in Normal will be the first between the two schools since 2003.

NIU will host East-West University on Monday, Dec. 30, before opening conference play five days later at Eastern Michigan (Jan. 4).

Season tickets for Huskie basketball go on sale on Thursday, Aug. 15, at NIUHuskies.com and by calling the NIU Athletics Tickets Office at (815) 753-PACK (7225).

Men’s basketball season tickets start at just $105 for general admission tickets in sections 106-109 (lower bowl baseline) with reserved seats available for just $120.

Premium experience tickets are also available for Huskie Basketball, including courtside season tickets. Huskie men’s basketball courtside tickets are $870, which includes the cost of a season ticket plus a $750 per seat license, Nelson Suite season tickets for NIU men’s basketball are also available for $620.

Season passes for the Huskie Athletic Fund Victory Pub are also available. Membership in the Victory Pub provides access to a premium buffet and one complimentary drink per game, as well as access to a premium cash bar.

Season passes for the Victory Pub are $100 for men’s or women’s basketball, with a combo season pass for both men’s and women’s basketball available for just $150.
