After Edson Alvarez appeared heartbroken upon leaving the field injured against Manchester City, a reporter offered a significant update on the new West Ham hero.

In the 3-1 loss to Man City at the London Stadium, West Ham experienced their first significant injury scare of the season.
Following his £34 million transfer from Ajax, Edson Alvarez has been an immediate favorite among Hammers supporters.

So far, the Mexican destroyer has truly lived up to his nickname El Machin (The Machine).

Along with Tomas Soucek and James Ward-Prowse, he was outstanding in protecting the back four when Man City visited the city.

West Ham supporters were understandably concerned when Alvarez suffered an injury after 65 minutes.

The tall midfielder lay still for two minutes before being unable to get up. As he departed the field, he had a distressing appearance.

His impact on this West Ham team is already so tremendous that Man City nearly immediately capitalized, scoring twice in the 76th and 86th minutes to secure the victory.

The schedule is ready to pick up speed as West Ham’s most recent European campaign begins before Premier League games either side of a trip to Lincoln for the third round of the Carabao Cup.

West Ham will therefore need their finest players to be there for their crucial games. Alvarez is unquestionably one of those individuals.

After Alvarez appeared heartbroken after leaving the field injured against Manchester City, a reporter has now provided a significant update on the new West Ham hero.

And the news is excellent!

Roshane Thomas, a West Ham reporter for The Athletic, claims that he spoke to the Mexican after the game and that he just had a slight case of cramp after traveling 10,000 miles round trip to represent his nation in the US.

Edson Alvarez indicated he was alright when Thomas spoke to him in the mixed zone, according to Thomas.

He most likely left the game because of exhaustion after arriving late from the international break.

With their matchup against Manchester City, West Ham demonstrated their ability to compete with the world’s top teams.

However, maintaining players like Alvarez healthy for the remainder of the season is essential to the team’s goals.

After that brief fear, this is great news.

Contract negotiations with a 33-year-old starter at West Ham have begun.

According to reports, West Ham United has begun contract negotiations with Michail Antonio.

According to a recent article from Football Insider, the Hammers are anxious to sign the seasoned striker to a new contract with better conditions.

There is hope that a whole new contract can be reached even though Antonio, 33, has just under a year left on his present contract and the London-based club still has the opportunity to trigger another year.

The 33-year-old has continued the season in Saudi Arabia’s capital despite being linked to a lucrative move there earlier in the summer after his exit did not materialize.

And Antonio, who has scored twice in his team’s first five Premier League games, is now firmly David Moyes’ first-choice striker ahead of the disfavored Danny Ings and is expected to be rewarded for his strong play.

Antonio, who joined from Nottingham Forest in 2015, is currently the Irons’ all-time leading scorer with 63 goals in 233 games.
