Before facing Nottingham Forest, Burnley will provide an injury update on Ekdal, Vitinho, and Ramsey.
Prior to their comeback to play against Nottingham Forest, Burnley has received some injury good news.
After a two-week international break, Vincent Kompany’s team travels to the City Ground on Monday night.
After losing their first three games in a row against Manchester City, Aston Villa, and Tottenham, the Clarets will be eager to get their first points of the year.
However, Burnley has previously defeated Forest in the Carabao Cup second round, winning 1-0 due to a late goal from Zeki Amdouni.
Hjalmar Ekdal, Vitinho, and Aaron Ramsey were all forced to leave the game due to injuries, but two of the three have already returned to training and are now available for selection. “Ekdal we were really fearing the worst case scenario, so in our case it’s still a positive,” Kompany said. “He’s not going to be fit the next couple of weeks or something, but it’s not what we feared in terms of damage.”

There are several possibilities now that Vitinho and Aaron Ramsey are both available.Darko Churlinov (health concern) and Michael Obafemi (hamstring) are still out, while Anass Zaroury is back after serving his three-game suspension.
Kompany has announced that all 15 of the Clarets’ players who were out on international duty have returned without any knocks or ailments.
Burnley was still able to put the players who stayed behind through significant practice in preparation for Monday’s league match.
Everyone has returned prepared to depart, according to Kompany.
The break was nevertheless beneficial because it gave us the chance to work with everyone who was present—there were a few who stayed home—more closely and possibly individually.
“We’re just on the cusp of where it’s still fascinating. When teams have only three or four players left after everyone leaves, you find themselves asking one another, “What do we do now?” We are not in that situation.
“We still have enough players to make working with players very interesting and beneficial for us.”
