Summer signing for West Ham United Edson Alvarez confesses that his move to London Stadium seemed puzzling at the time.

Edson Alvarez has spoken out about his move to West Ham United after a failed deal to Borussia Dortmund.

West Ham purchased Edson Alvarez from Ajax in the summer for about £34 million, which appears to be a steal.

His performance against Luton a few weeks ago was just fantastic, and we certainly have a wonderful player on our hands.

In fact, with Declan Rice gone and Alvarez and James Ward-Prowse in the middle of the park, we appear to be a better team unit currently.

But how is the Mexican doing in East London?

West Ham has made a summer signing. Edson Alvarez acknowledges the relocation to London Stadium seemed perplexing at the time.
The 25-year-old has been chatting to the Mexican National Team’s YouTube page about his summer transition from Ajax to West Ham.

And he admits that his Hammers move was a whirlwind:

West Ham summer signing Edson Alvarez admits move to London Stadium was inexplicable at the time

“On the Dortmund side, there was a bit that was a fairly specific option, and in the end, it couldn’t be.” I’ve always believed that everything happens for a purpose and that everything is great and good. Now I am overjoyed with the decision I made to join West Ham, a team that has taught me a lot in just one month. When you reach the world’s greatest league, the reality is that it is something special.

inexplicable. When we closed it, I travelled to Amsterdam and then to London, but I had no training, so image coming at the intensity of the first days. I had a difficult time with rhythm at first, but as the training progressed, it went extremely well for me and adapted to me fairly well. In any event, I know I still have a lot to learn because this is a league that tests you not just mentally but also physically.”

I have no doubts that Alvarez will go on to become a Hammers hero.

The Mexican is a fierce tackler who plays with genuine passion, commitment, and heart – three qualities that West Ham fans admire in their players.

He has already integrated easily into the Hammers squad, and he will play an important part this season if we are to achieve success on all fronts.

What a bargain he has proven to be for only £34 million – undoubtedly one of the best signings in the Premier League this summer.

Let’s hope Edson Alvarez continues to improve for West Ham over the next three years, and that the £34 million we paid for him turns out to be the steal of the century.
