After a QB-heavy NFL Draft, the Lions are expected to choose defense.

Finally, after months of rumors and excitement, the 2023 NFL Draft is here.

The Detroit Lions, who have two first-round picks and five picks in the first 81 selections, are heavily invested in this draft.

Detroit’s initial selection is at position No. 6 overall. Although there are several possible outcomes, the chances can assist predict who will ultimately sign with the Lions.

The opening round will take place on Thursday at 8 p.m. ET. At 7:00 p.m. ET on Friday, rounds 2-3 will start. The last four rounds begin at noon Eastern Time on Saturday.

The early rounds of the NFL Draft will be hectic for the Detroit Lions.

Numerous quarterbacks with franchise potential are available in this year’s NFL Draft.

There were rumors going into the draft that four quarterbacks may be chosen before Detroit made their selection at number six. Bryce Young of Alabama, C.J. Stroud of Ohio State, Anthony Richardson of Florida, and Will Levis of Kentucky may all finish in the top 10.

Young is currently the overwhelming favorite to be selected first overall by the Carolina Panthers, according to oddsmakers. Young has a -2000 chance of being chosen first (wager $2,000 to win an extra $100). Most bookmakers put Stroud as the number two option, with a stake of $100 to win an extra $1,000.

Richardson and Levis must go even further back to be chosen first overall.

However, most bookies now have Levis as the favorite to go No. 2 overall. The Houston Texans have the Kentucky quarterback rated as low as -130 to be picked.
