Cowboys defeat the Seahawks, and perhaps Dak Prescott deserves to be named the true MVP.

Perhaps Dak Prescott’s arrival will make Dallas Cowboys supporters pleased.

Being a quarterback for the Cowboys means taking unfair criticism. Consult Tony Romo. Look back at the social media posts from the Cowboys’ most recent playoff defeats, where fans begged the team to cut Prescott. They were in great numbers.

There is just so much Cowboys playoff run left to calm that crowd. However, an MVP could be somewhat helpful. After Thursday night’s game against the Seattle Seahawks, Prescott is without a doubt in the running for MVP.

Prescott prevented Dallas from suffering a devastating defeat on a night when the Cowboys’ defense was unexpectedly poor. Or perhaps it’s just that the Cowboys have performed well versus weak teams but not as well against strong ones. With 4:37 remaining, Prescott led a drive that gave the Cowboys the lead, finding Jake Ferguson for a 12-yard score, and the team eventually came to a halt. The Cowboys won 41-35 after that thanks to a field goal from Dallas and pressure on the Seahawks on a fourth-down incompletion by Micah Parsons.

Prescott performed admirably, as he has done for several weeks. Before Thursday, Prescott has completed more than 70% of his throws for a 122.6 passer rating in Dallas’ six games, throwing 18 touchdowns to just two interceptions. And Thursday night he was even more impressive. A Seahawks squad that traveled to Dallas hoping for an upset and almost succeeded, Prescott completed his passes for 299 yards and three touchdowns while also making a number of important plays.

Thursday night proved to be a true test for Dallas. The Seahawks had a chance to prevail. Prescott made the most impact on the victory. Initiate the MVP dialogue.

Seahawks are swift in their attacks.
On Thursday night, anyone anticipating a Cowboys rout had to be taken aback. Dallas wouldn’t have an easy night, as the Seahawks made it clear early on. After receiving a pass from Geno Smith, DK Metcalf dashed (very quickly) to the end zone for a 73-yard touchdown and a 7-3 Seattle lead.

Maybe Cowboys supporters felt at ease when the Cowboys scored the next 14 points. The Seahawks, though, were not going away.

After a lengthy Cowboys drive resulted in a field goal, rookie running back Zach Charbonnet of Seattle scored a 1-yard touchdown run. Shortly before the half ended, Seattle scored a massive touchdown. In the final seconds before halftime, Metcalf scored a second touchdown when DaRon Bland was flagged for defensive pass interference in the end zone. In the second half, Seattle gained possession of the ball first, and Smith finished it off with a 5-yard touchdown run. The Seahawks took an unexpected 28–20 lead as a result.

Seattle came in at 6-5 and had a challenging remaining schedule. The Seahawks were in urgent need of an unexpected victory to boost their postseason prospects. They were also acting like the squad that was more desperate.

The fourth quarter of the game is close.
The Seahawks maintained their lead for much of the second half. The Cowboys made it a 28-27 contest after they scored and decided to go for the extra point. On Metcalf’s third touchdown, however, Seattle responded immediately after Smith gained time and discovered the receiver dragging in the back of the end zone.
