Hugh Freeze delivers a heartbreaking injury report to Auburn football players.

Surely, Auburn football has nothing to fear from this bye week? False. Rethink your assumptions. An further injury has been added to the Tigers’ already difficult season after their game against the top-ranked Georgia Bulldogs last weekend.

That will seriously harm us defensively, according to Freeze.”

A couple players sustained injuries following the team’s game against the Dawgs at Jordan-Hare, and both nickel back Keionte Scott and linebacker Austin Keys—who is suffering with a thumb injury—are likely to be out for an extended period of time.

Head coach Hugh Freeze stated that defensive lineman Mosiah Nasili-Kite would miss the remainder of the 2023 season due to a torn bicep sustained in last weekend’s game, according to Auburn Undercover:

Senior Nasili-Kite joined Auburn’s football team in the off-season, moving from Maryland, and he has played a major role in the Tigers’ defensive line the whole season. Having played the most snaps of any player at his position, Keldric Faulk, a true freshman, will likely need to step up in the upcoming weeks.

Nasili-Kite has tallied up 10 total tackles this season, along with two quarterback hurries and 0.5 tackles for loss.

The players must concentrate on getting fit for the remainder of the SEC schedule, while the head coach of the Tigers will probably be recruiting during the bye week. The Georgia game was missed by wide receiver Ja’Varrius Johnson (hamstring) and running back Damari Alston (shoulder), while cornerback Jaylin Simpson (calf) sustained an injury during play. When the Tigers play LSU in Baton Rouge in two weeks, Freeze hopes that all three will be able to return.

Tiger supporters are optimistic that Auburn may perform magic and win their first SEC game on October 14 despite the injuries.

White has been fully dedicated to Auburn football ever since he made his commitment. By supporting his future club at major recruiting events on the Plains and tweeting at other prospects, the quarterback has established himself as a recruit turned recruiter.
