San Francisco 49ers DT George Kittle may not play in the Super Bowl; there has been little update on his injury.
Prior to Sunday’s Super Bowl, the San Francisco 49ers’ injury report on Friday provided a crucial update on a few important players. When the 49ers play the Kansas City Chiefs, they might not have one of their defensive tackles available.
On Friday night, the 49ers injury report seemed less troubling than that of the Chiefs. Joe Thuney, an All-Pro, was one of the two offensive linemen the Chiefs declared ineligible for the Super Bowl.
The 49ers had anticipated that Armstead and Kittle would play in the Super Bowl earlier in the week. On Wednesday and Thursday, though, their practice time was restricted. Given that the 49ers were able to fully engage in the final practice prior to Sunday’s game, Friday’s injury report is quite encouraging.
