Positive Update on T.J. Watt’s Injuries for the Steelers
When it came to T.J. Watt’s injury, the Pittsburgh Steelers received the “best case scenario”.

Pittsburgh — Outside linebacker T.J. Watt’s injury is thought to have saved the Pittsburgh Steelers from the worst-case scenario, giving them the “best case scenario” in this circumstance. The Defensive Player of the Year candidate reportedly sustained a Grade 2 MCL sprain, which could allow him to return during the postseason, according to his brother J.J.

J.J. claims that Watt’s condition is limited to an MCL sprain. Everything else appears “immaculate.” Watt may make a comeback if the Steelers advance farther in the postseason, but he will need to rest and recuperate for a few weeks.

Watt left in the second half against the Baltimore Ravens after colliding with defensive tackle Montravius Adams. According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, he attempted to go back into the game, but the Steelers held him out. He then underwent an MRI the following morning to confirm the initial diagnosis of an MCL sprain.

With 19 sacks at the end of the regular season, the Pro Bowl edge rusher led the league for the third consecutive year.

To make it to the postseason, the Steelers still require assistance. It seems like they’ll need to win a game or two before Watt can return if they do make the playoffs. Alex Highsmith will be replaced by veteran Markus Golden and rookie Nick Herbig at the start of the game.
