Sima has yet to play for Brighton, however he joined the Seagulls in 2021 after impressing with his performances at Slavia Prague.

Since then, the 22-year-old has had loan spells at Stoke City and Angers in France, and he will continue his development in the Premier League next season.

Rangers is a large club with a long history,” Sima said on the club’s website. “I played here for Slavia Prague two or three years ago and liked it here, so joining Rangers is very exciting for me.”

“I spoke with Michael Beale, and it was a very natural conversation; he told me about the Rangers and how we will play.”

“I already knew a bit about how Rangers play so when they called me I was very honoured.”

Beale stated that he was bringing in a player whose talents were “aligned” with the Rangers’ playing style.

“We are delighted to have Abdallah join us for the forthcoming season,” he stated. “He is a player I am excited to work with; he has excellent game variety and can fill a variety of attacking positions in our team.”

He recently turned 22 and has played in three local top divisions, the Europa League, and is a senior international for Senegal. We met a few weeks back and talked about his fit with our style of play as well as his future development as a player.

“He is someone I have closely followed since his breakthrough in the Czech Republic, and I am delighted to have Abdallah join the squad right at the start of pre-season.”

“I would also like to say thank you to the staff at Brighton who have been excellent since our initial contact a number of weeks ago.”

Sima is Rangers’ fifth signing of the frantic transfer window.

Rangers have signed Kieran Dowell, Sam Lammers, Dujon Sterling, and Jack Butland as they look to break Celtic’s monopoly on domestic titles and qualify for the Champions League group stage.
