As the Leicester City duo balance on a tightrope against Bristol City, Conor Coady’s injury risk is disclosed.
After suffering a foot injury in the preseason, the summer signing from Wolves has yet to make his competitive debut, but he has been an inactive replacement for the last two games.
Conor Coady, the summer signing who has played as a substitute in the last two games after recovering from a foot fracture sustained in pre-season, could still be at risk of injury as he continues his comeback, according to Enzo Maresca. However, with Jannik Vestergaard performing well, he has not yet been needed, and he is still waiting for his competitive debut with the club.
Prior to the match with Bristol City on Saturday, Maresca stated that Coady was still readjusting and that it could be risky to start him for the full 90 minutes. He’s still working to achieve complete fitness.
At his presser on Friday afternoon, Maresca stated, “He’s getting better every day.” “It’s been eight or nine weeks; for him, it’s been a long injury. We’ll make an effort to bring him to 100% gradually.
“He could start, but it might also be dangerous. It is not secure. The goal is to introduce him gradually, without taking any risks, and to allow him the opportunity to be completely fit.
Dennis Praet and Tom Cannon are the only two players out after Maresca indicated there were no new injuries for him to be concerned about. But two players are treading really thin air.
At Norwich, Vestergaard and Harry Winks each received their fourth caution of the year, putting them one caution away from a one-match suspension. Instead of the Carabao Cup match against Liverpool in the middle of the week, a warning against Bristol City would result in a suspension for the trip to Blackburn the following weekend.

Tom Lawrence, a forward, has been acquired by Derby County from Leicester for an unknown sum.
Lawrence, a 23-year-old international for Wales, has signed what Derby refer to as “a long-term contract” and is the Rams’ fourth summer acquisition.
Derby County made the following announcement on their official website: “Derby County have moved to bolster their attacking options by completing the signing of Leicester City forward Tom Lawrence.”
The amount involved has not been disclosed by any club, although Derby of the Championship are reportedly paying the Foxes roughly £7 million.
Lawrence played for Ipswich on loan during the previous season and was voted the team’s player of the year after tallying 11 goals in 36 games.
He graduated from the Manchester United youth, but before moving on to Leicester in September 2014, he only made one first-team appearance. He has also spent time on loan at Carlisle, Yeovil, Rotherham, Blackburn, and Cardiff.
Curtis Davies, Andre Wisdom, and Tom Huddlestone were previously acquired by Derby during the summer transfer window.
