Crystal Palace will be without a number of important players when they visit Manchester United in midweek and again at the weekend, according to Roy Hodgson, who confirms a triple injury blow ahead of Manchester United despite the fact that two of the injured players were seen in training.
In addition to the stress of missing Odsonned Edoaurd against Fulham, Crystal Palace boss Roy Hodgson does not anticipate having the team of Michael Olise and Matheus Franca available until after the following international break.
The news was announced by the Palace manager following their 0-0 draw at Selhurst against Fulham. As reported by South London Press, he said: The Palace manager said, “Neither [are anticipated to return] in the next period of time.
“I highly doubt that either will be available before the international break, which won’t be for a few more weeks.
Even back then, Olise sustained a pretty serious injury while playing for France. We have to be extremely careful to avoid a scenario where he played a little bit earlier than necessary and triggered a similar ailment in the same location, as may have occurred to Wilf when he traveled to Turkey because it had a similar injury.
“It prevented Wilf from playing when he made his [Galatasaray] debut for three to four weeks. Olise and Franca are improving together.
“We are adhering to the physiotherapists’ and medical department’s directives. I don’t want to suggest that a player return early since that would make me accountable if something went wrong again and we were without him for an additional two months.

Roy Hodgson, the manager of Crystal Palace, delivers an update on Nathan Ferguson’s injuries.
As the former West Brom defender accelerates his recovery from a hamstring injury he sustained toward the end of the previous season, Crystal Palace manager Roy Hodgson has offered an injury report on Nathan Ferguson.
Since joining the Eagles from the Baggies in July 2020, Ferguson has only played eight minutes of professional football due to injuries he has had while at Selhurst Park.
In the 2021–22 season, he was a substitute in the 3-0 loss away at Tottenham Hotspur.
At the conclusion of the last campaign, the 22-year-old received a one-year contract extension.
At the beginning of the season, Ferguson has been getting better at the team’s academy.
“We learned that he was actually exercising now, which was wonderful news. They’re trying to get him back on the field and playing again fairly soon now that he’s really back participating in training sessions. It has taken a while. They have had to exercise extreme caution in light of all the failures and issues.
The good news is that he is exercising there as we had hoped.
It worked because he put himself in a situation where the academy believes he can play shortly.
The most important thing is that I would be happy for him.
In addition to being a good player, he might be a valuable addition to the squad moving ahead.
“If we leave that out of the picture, I’m simply really glad for him because it must be some kind of light at the end of what has been a really dark tunnel.
“It’s amazing how he navigated that tunnel. I doubt that many people would be able to overcome experiencing so many failures and disappointments at such a young age.
He needs to be a sturdy and resilient young man. He is a pretty kind person, in my opinion. If Nathan Ferguson returned to the first team and was fully healthy, no one would be happier than any of us here on the practice field.
“We’d love to have him, but we need to exercise caution. It will be a process that takes a little longer than the upcoming or following week.
