Rabbi Matondo’s ‘bad one’ is evaluated, and a timeframe for Tom Lawrence’s comeback is revealed in the Rangers injury tracker. Michael Beale is dealing with a growing injury list that will keep him out of action for several crucial starts.

Despite another victory for Rangers over Motherwell, Michael Beale’s issues continue to worsen.

The Light Blues were on the back foot for significant stretches of the 1-0 Scottish Premiership match, and the Ibrox boo boys were in full form at fulltime. Following the game, the line for the Auchenhowie treatment room only grew longer. When Rabbi Matondo limped off during the Motherwell match and was replaced by John Souttar, Beale was forced to alter his strategy in order to counter Stuart Kettlewell’s tenacious team.

The Welshman appeared to have tweaked his knee during the match, underwent treatment, and after making an attempt to continue playing, the Scotland center-back was eventually brought in to replace him. When asked if Matondo was still in shape at the end of the game, Beale acknowledged the injury’s potential for a protracted absence: “Rabbi today, we think it might be a terrible one.

On the outside of his knee, he was struck.”I need to see it back, but when I came in, that’s the information I was given.”

Tom Lawrence was not present during the Lanarkshire group’s visit. Following the victory over the La Liga team, Beale said he had a “issue” with the player who hobbled off during the midweek Europa League match against Real Betis.

He said: “Unfortunately Tom Lawrence has a difficulty. We can give you a timetable for when the playmaker will return before the game. He most likely won’t appear for the following two or three games.

When he left the field, he felt fine and assumed it was simply a cramp. But the following day, he responded.

They are Rangers’ most recent crucial duo to be sidelined from the game. Todd Cantwell and Nicolas Raskin have joined Kieran Dowell in taking a few weeks off. Danilo is also sidelined after suffering a terrible injury while celebrating his goal against St. Johnstone.

Rabbi Matondo injured

After sustaining a knee injury against Motherwell this afternoon, Michael Beale has speculated that Rabbi Matondo could spend a significant amount of time on the sidelines for Rangers.

The Welsh winger, 23, was instrumental in the game’s lone goal, which gave the Light Blues a tense 1-0 victory in front of the Ibrox crowd when his shot deflected off Cyriel Dessers. It’s the newest piece of data for Matondo, who has experienced something of a comeback in Glasgow after spending most of last season on the bench or watching from the stands.

The management of Matondo has praised him for recent efforts, including goals last weekend against Servette and St. Johnstone. Beale, though, acknowledged to the assembled journalists at full-time that it would perhaps be a severe one when he was ejected this afternoon.

When asked about the player’s health, Beale responded, “Rabbi today, we think it might be a terrible one. On the outside of his knee, he was struck.
