There is now an end to the protracted story between West Ham and Jesse Lingard.

The will he, won’t he claim and counter claim have been resolved more than two years after Lingard lit up the London Stadium while assisting the Hammers to within one win of Champions League qualification.

It has since been reported that the midfielder, who had a memorable 16-game West Ham loan in 2021 in which he scored nine goals and provided six assists, has joined Steven Gerrard’s Saudi team Al-Ettifaq for a month of training with the intention of signing there.

After the news broke, a West Ham board-connected insider attacked Lingard and called him a “freeloader.”

However, it appears that West Ham’s boss is much less tense about the circumstance.

Because after a month of training with West Ham, Lingard defected to Saudi Arabia. A brutal Moyes has spoken out about this.
