Jacob Ramsey is back in training for Aston Villa.

Jacob Ramsey, a midfielder for Villa, has resumed training after being sidelined for the first five weeks of the season due to injury.

The academy product, 21, was receiving treatment for a broken foot he sustained while representing England at the European Under-21 Championships in the summer.

He returned to training at Bodymoor Heath on Tuesday, though, as Villa got ready for their Europa Conference matchup with Legia Warsaw tomorrow.

In the meantime, Chris Heck, the new club president of business operations, detailed a number of off-field adjustments that Villa had made.

Rob Erskine, who formerly held positions with the NBA, New York Red Bulls, and the MLS, has joined as the organization’s new chief commercial officer.

Ben Hatton has been hired as the chief operational officer after stints at Manchester United, Roma, and Blackpool.

Ryan Disdier has been named the new vice president of content and digital, while Richard Stevens has been named the new vice president of strategy and analytics.

Jacob Ramsey of Aston Villa may need a protective cast or boot, according to an injury expert
Dr. Rajpal Brar, a specialist in injuries, is a welcome addition to our exclusive writer lineup. He will offer his opinions on Aston Villa’s injury status every week.

Dr. Rajpal Brar predicts that Aston Villa attacking midfielder Jacob Ramsey may eventually need to wear a cast or boot for protection.

The Englishman’s metatarsal fracture, which has kept him out of action and may keep him out for a few more weeks, is highlighted by the injury expert.

He will engage in weight-bearing exercises to build up his strength after removing any protective gear before rejoining Villa’s lineup.

Ramsey has a metatarsal fracture, which has kept him out of action, Dr. Brar, a doctor of physical therapy and sports scientist, said when asked about his return to the squad.

“The degree of the fracture will determine whether he needs to wear a cast or a walking boot, as well as how long he needs to wear it.

He will be returned to increased weight-bearing exercises and eventually back to training once the fracture has sufficiently healed.

With these injuries, it’s difficult to predict a timetable, but it’s safe to assume he’ll be off for a few weeks.

The 22-year-old established himself in Unai Emery’s squad last year, but his injury has prevented him from playing this year.

He is anticipated to return immediately following the international break, though much will depend on how well he feels in the coming days.

It’s quite improbable that he’ll be healthy enough to play in the Premier League match that the Villans have coming up against Crystal Palace.

Emery will require a deeper squad this season because of Villa’s obligations in Europe, so he will be hoping Ramsey gets back as soon as possible.
