The midfielder told X (16 September) that she opted to leave the club for “various reasons,” before thanking fans, staff, and players.
Walklett arrived to the Baggies two seasons ago and quickly established herself as a versatile finisher, winning the club’s Goal of the Season title in May.

“It is with a heavy heart that I have decided to leave [West Brom] for various reasons,” Walklett remarked. Thanks to the fans, players, and staff over the previous two seasons, I’ve never felt more at home and have made some incredible experiences.

“I don’t know what’s next, but I’m looking forward to the next challenge.”

Walklett spent two years at the club and helped the Baggies to consecutive eighth-place finishes in the WPL Premier Division.

She will be recognized for her award-winning goal against Stoke City in their 3-2 win at the Bet365 Stadium on April 2.

Her half-volley from outside the penalty area, latched onto a bouncing clearance, sailed into the top right corner, striking the underside of the crossbar for good measure.

The outpouring of well-wishes and support following her announcement demonstrates how much she was cherished by the Baggies fandom and staff. While it’s unknown why Walklett left the club, she didn’t say much about what she’d do next.

In 2022, she led her team to the Birmingham FA County Cup final, where they were defeated 4-1 by Black Country rivals Wolves.

The cup final was a watershed moment for the women’s team, and her screamer was unforgettable. Walklett creates a lasting impression at West Brom.

Why After Rotherham United, Neil Warnock organized a round of applause in the Huddersfield Town dressing room.
The Terriers’ coach made sure that Sorba Thomas and Josh Koroma were rewarded for completing what he believed was impossible in the win over the Millers.

Sorba Thomas celebrates his goal with Josh Koroma

Terriers manager Neil Warnock admitted it was a difficult decision to start Sorba Thomas and Josh Koroma against Rotherham United after leaving both out against West Bromwich Albion – but his final hunch was rewarded with the pair setting up mirror-image goals for each other.

Thomas was injured and missed Huddersfield Town’s trip to the Hawthorns before the international break, while Koroma came off the bench. On that occasion, David Kasumu and Jaheim Headley were preferred as wing-backs.

However, Warnock took a more aggressive approach against Rotherham at home on Saturday afternoon. Thomas and Koroma essentially formed a front four alongside a central combination of Delano Burgzorg and Kian Harratt, who began in place of Danny Ward.
