Sean Dyche has stated that Everton can still sign free agents despite the fact that the summer transfer season is closed.
Sean Dyche has stated that Everton would not enter the free agent market.
The Toffees signed five players during the summer transfer window, including Ashley Young on a free transfer from Aston Villa. Everton, on the other hand, had a low-key transfer deadline day in terms of incomings, despite the departures of Alex Iwobi, Neel Maupay, and Tom Cannon. Demarai Gray, meanwhile, left to join El-Ettifaq before the Suadi Pro League window closed.
After leaving Nottingham Forest, Everton have been connected with Portuguese player Xeka as well as former Manchester United offensive midfielder Jesse Lingard. Lingard has been working out with West Ham United. While Dyche says Everton would keep an eye on who is available, any possible moves are doubtful.
“It is rare at this stage that you get one who has been missed for odd reasons,” he stated at his pre-match press conference before of Sunday’s Premier League encounter against Arsenal. Typically, by this point, the market has established scenarios for players to be in.
“But we will certainly keep an eye on the list of players and see if there is anyone who can sort us, which we have already done, of course, but we will keep doing that.”
