When asked to characterize the £25 million Everton player, Declan Rice provides a superb two-word response.

Jordan Pickford can be summed up in two words, according to Declan Rice.

The midfielder was asked to characterize each of his international teammates in a single word in a video broadcast to England’s TikTok account.

While Rice didn’t quite meet the criteria for his funny description of the Everton goalkeeper, he seemed to get it pretty spot on from what fans see of him on the pitch.

When asked about Pickford, Rice responded with a smirk and the words “mad man.”

Pickford’s theatrics and loud-mouth attitude for Everton and England make him appear insane, with his recent double save against Sheffield United being a prime example, as he reacted with a goofy face pull and an Italian motion with his hands.

The 29-year-old is well-known for being demanding and, at times, frightening to his outfield players for both club and country.

James Tarkowski seemed to agree with Rice regarding Pickford’s’mad man’ remark.
Previously, James Tarkowski expressed his thoughts about his teammate, telling The Times, “He annoys me a little bit, I tell him that.”

“He speaks a lot. It’s better than not talking at all, I suppose. He’s a tyrant. He’s everything a modern-day goalkeeper should be. He makes fantastic match-winning saves, which the manager refers to as “saving the unsavables.” He saves the ones you’re expecting to go in.

“He’s also like another outfield player for us. If you watch us play, he steps inbetween the two central centre halves and he’ll spray it round the pitch. He’s got such an incredible range of passing. He could play outfield if he wanted. He wouldn’t want the running around.”

Rice’s ‘mad man’ claim about Pickford came ahead of England’s friendly against Scotland tonight.

Various reports have claimed the Toffees man will be benched for tonight’s game at Hampden Park, with Arsenal’s Aaron Ramsdale set to take his spot in between the sticks.

The move by 777 would be a full takeover, once all the Premier League requirements are met, which could take several months to complete.

In February, Moshiri told Everton’s fans’ advisory board the club was “not for sale” but it appears the British-Iranian businessman is now willing to sell the club.
