Demarai Gray’s medical claim prompts Everton to make a transfer move.
According to Le Petit Lilois, Everton striker Demarai Gray passed his physical on transfer deadline day at Lille but did not leave the club.
The Toffees abruptly pulled out of the deal, according to a French media site on Saturday (2 August).
This prohibited the Jamaica international from joining the eight-time champions.
Gray survives Iwobi’s departure.
It’s possible that the Toffees decided to keep Gray at Goodison Park because Alex Iwobi left for Fulham.
The details regarding the Nigerian’s exit emerged in the final few days of the window, indicating that he had his sights set on a departure.
It remains to be seen whether Gray stays at Goodison Park or moves to Saudi Arabia while their window is still open.
Sean Dyche does not appear to rate the 27-year-old, so if he is pleased with his options, he might ask the club to cash in.
They may still sign free agents, so Dyche may have a few targets in mind if Gray leaves, as they may be short in that area of the pitch.

Everton make their final £30 million summer risk as a surprise development presents Sean Dyche with a fresh challenge.

The summer’s concluding transactions added a bittersweet note to a transfer window that had brought real gains for Everton.
The team finally made an effort to reduce its reliance on Dominic Calvert-Lewin by signing Beto, and the frontline was strengthened by other bright signings like Arnaut Danjuma.
However, despite the fact that the decisions to sell Tom Cannon and Alex Iwobi were both financially sound and gave the team a much-needed late boost to its bottom line, each action served as a stinging reminder of how the team is still in a vulnerable situation since important elements of its present and future were given up.
It is believed that Everton did not want to take a chance on individuals they were dubious of, which is why the departures of both players did not result in fresh incomings. However, those actions as well as Neal Maupay’s departure carry a certain amount of danger. Sean Dyche’s roster is now considered to only contain a dozen senior outfield players who are healthy and available for the trip to Sheffield United due to deadline day activity.
