‘Great’ Crystal Palace player is now being considered by Manchester United following latest update

Crystal Palace will now be worried as one of their key players is seen as a possible defensive replacement for a top club this summer.

It has been a busy summer for Crystal Palace. Legend  has left the club and now Marc Guehi is attracting top interest.

According to The Daily Mail, Manchester United have a four-man shortlist to prepare for the imminent departure of Harry Maguire. The report says it is likely that he will go to West Ham.

One of the players on this shortlist is Marc Guehi. Apparently, Erik Ten Haag is ‘considering’ the Crystal Palace defender as one of the ‘contenders’ to fill the role eventually left by Maguire.

It is no shock to see a top club like Manchester United interested in Marc Guehi. He has been a rock at the back for Crystal Palace and despite only being 23 years-old, he has shown that he has world-class potential.

The centre-back has been given the captain’s armband on multiple occasions at Crystal Palace and is clearly deemed as one of the leaders at the club.

More so, Guehi is now a consistent England international. With such a high ceiling and also having leadership traits, you can see why Manchester United see him as a possible Harry Maguire replacement.

The Eagles will be hoping to not lose him this summer. They have already lost Wilfried Zaha and other centre-back Joachim Andersen is also linked with a move away.

The “great player” is no doubt destined for a big move sooner rather than later. Palace will be hoping that when they do lose him they can command a hefty fee for him.

He has paired up brilliantly with Andersen over the last two years and they have been a huge reason for the club staying in the division they last two seasons.
