Former NFL Exec Offers Strong Response Following Taylor Swift And Chiefs Accusation

The buzz surrounding the Kansas City Chiefs has only grown stronger now that they’re on the brink of securing an unprecedented Super Bowl three-peat.

While a lot of fans have praised the two-time defending champs for what they have achieved thus far, there has also been a lot of negativity thrown in their direction.

Perhaps the biggest accusation that the Chiefs are facing right now centers on how the NFL is supposedly making sure that they win the title. Some supporters have even gone as far as saying that multi-Grammy Award-winning singer/songwriter Taylor Swift, the girlfriend of Kansas City star Travis Kelce, has had a significant role in all this as the league looks to capitalize on her fame and the expanded reach she brings for the NFL.

Former NFL Vice President of Officiating Dean Blandino has decided to speak out about the issue at hand. Apparently, even his own family believes that Swift is somehow involved in a conspiracy.

“My brother is like, ‘They want Taylor Swift at the Super Bowl,’” Blandino said during an interview on SiriusXM Radio on Tuesday via People. “One-hundred and fifty million people are gonna watch the Super Bowl regardless of Taylor Swift being there. Like enough, stop.”

“… [My brother says] the league is rigged and that I can’t say anything about it. I say, ‘Listen, hey, I think if there was a script, I think the head of officiating would be pretty important in that process and no one ever invited me in the room.’”

Blandino, who currently serves as a rules analyst for Fox Sports, has strongly denied these rigging accusations. While he is well aware of the cheating narrative that has hounded the Chiefs, the former NFL boss has made it abundantly clear that these are nothing more than just baseless rumors.

Swift is expected to attend Super Bowl LIX on Feb. 9 at New Orleans’ Superdome to support Kelce and the Chiefs. If she does, then there is no doubt that her presence will be covered heavily throughout the broadcast of the big game.

What can be said definitely, though, is that the NFL has had nothing to do with Swift and the Chiefs playing in the most anticipated game of the season — at least according to Blandino.
