Caitlin Clark’s boyfriend, Connor McCaffrey, marked her 23rd birthday with a heartfelt Instagram post about the Indiana Fever star.
McCaffrey remarked how the couple was able to celebrate together this time, despite Clark’s past commitments to collegiate basketball with Iowa, which kept her busy on her big day.
‘Happy 23rd CC,’ McCaffrey wrote with a heart emoji on Wednesday. ‘Finally we’re celebrating together this year!
‘You have an incredible ability to inspire and life up those around you, and I am lucky to learn from you every day. Thank you for always being you, I love you.’
Clark herself commented underneath saying: ‘Awh, I love you.’
Clark spent at least some of her birthday at practice for the Indiana Fever, even though the season is still months away from starting.
Her staff posted a video of them celebrating happy birthday to her at the practice facility, as well as another stunning video showcasing how Clark has maintained her sharpness despite her time off.
Clark was seen converting 50 out of 54 three-point shots during a birthday challenge.
Clark’s birthday looked to arrive early this weekend when she sat close to her hero Taylor Swift to watch the Kansas City Chiefs, the NFL team she supports, defeat the Houston Texans in the playoffs.
Clark and Swift endured a rush of emotions as the Chiefs upset the Texans 23-14, with Travis Kelce scoring a touchdown in the fourth quarter to secure the victory.
This weekend, the Chiefs return to Arrowhead to face the Buffalo Bills in the AFC Championship game, with the winner going to the Super Bowl in New Orleans on February 9.
It’s unclear whether Clark will return to Kansas City for Sunday’s game, but it’s difficult to think anyplace else she’d rather be.
Clark and McCaffrey, a Butler University basketball coach, are thought to have been dating since April 2023, but the relationship became formal in August of that year.
