Louisville football recruiting: Former Ole Miss commit Maurice Davis pledges to Jeff Brohm

With National Signing Day less than a week away, Louisville football coach Jeff Brohm hasn’t stopped picking up high school commitments.

In addition to making home visits this week to check on players who have already committed, the Cardinals added three-star defensive lineman Maurice Davis on Friday. He’s the seventh defensive player in U of L’s 2024 recruiting class and fourth from the state of Georgia.

Louisville’s 15-player 2024 class currently ranks 35th in the country, according to the 247Sports Composite rankings, and seventh in the ACC. The class includes two four-star players in Jojo Stone, who was once committed to LSU, and Isaac Brown.

One of Brohm’s biggest recruiting wins came early with him securing four-star defensive lineman TJ Capers, who is the fourth-highest-ranked recruit in program history. He committed to the Cardinals last year under former coach Scott Satterfield but has now reclassified to enroll at Louisville as a member of the Class of 2023. From there, Brohm and Co. have secured key commits from nine different states, including quarterback Deuce Adams, who will become the Cardinals’ first Texas signee in over 10 years, should he sign in December.
