Texas Longhorns Expected to Land Official Visit with Four-Star 2025 Center
AUSTIN: Tre Johnson and Nic Codie, two high school players, and five transfers lead the Texas Longhorns’ outstanding recruiting class for 2024.
Coach Rodney Terry, though, is apparently already working on the 2025 class, and among other in-state programs, a Texas target is reportedly in the running.
Four-star 2025 center John Clark of Klein Cain High School (Houston) intends to set up an official visit with the Longhorns at some point this summer, according to reports from Brandon Jenkins of 247Sports. Additionally, Buzz Williams from Texas A&M and Kelvin Sampson from Houston are vying for him, as both schools hope to get official visits. The 6-9, 210-pound big man’s competitiveness in the in-state recruiting process has intensified.
Clark is ranked No. 5 overall in Texas and No. 4 nationally as a center in the 2025 class by 247. Programs including Kansas, Kansas State, Oklahoma, Tennessee, SMU, and others have extended offers to him as well.
As of now, the Longhorns have not secured a commitment from a recruit in the 2025 class. Having
Being the first, as Clark might be, would be a great way to get things going as Texas begins to acclimate to the SEC.
