Josh Windass is among the players whose contracts expire in the summer, but he recently disclosed that he and his agency are in discussions with Sheffield Wednesday regarding a potential extension.

However, a new story from The Star suggests that Wednesday’s talks, including those pertaining to Windass’ future, could need to move quickly.

Prior to the summer, Derby County, Hull City, Stoke City, and West Brom are interested in the 30-year-old.

Windass, who concluded the 2023–24 season in excellent form by scoring in each of Wednesday’s final three games of the season, may find attention from West Brom in especially to be gratifying.

Windass has scored forty goals in his four years at the club, including the game-winning goal in each of the previous two seasons.
