According to Jimmy Johnson, which Dallas Cowboys player is one of the NFL’s most talented?
Micah Parsons is one of the top players in the NFL, according to former Dallas Cowboys head coach Jimmy Johnson, who was speaking on NFL on FOX.
“Micah Parsons has the potential to be the best player in the league, if not on the Dallas Cowboys football team,” Johnson remarked. “He’s a monster when it comes to creating turnovers and negative plays.”
Johnson predicted that the Cowboys, headed by Parsons and DaRon Bland, would pose a challenge to the Eagles’ offense, which is one of the reasons he selected the Cowboys to win on Sunday.

Making such a claim with Dallas is risky because there have been numerous false dawns during those barren years, most notably last year when they lost their Wild Card playoff matchup with the San Francisco 49ers and watched the clock run out on their season after trailing by six and failing to spike the ball in time to give themselves a last-ditch attempt for the end zone and a touchdown.
Since the Cowboys’ then-joint-record fifth Super Bowl win, which they achieved in a victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers to end the 1995 season, there have been four more Wild Card exits and an astounding six postseason divisional round losses.
Not to mention the seasons in which Dallas did not even qualify for the postseason. Even during the 2020 season, when the Washington Football Team, the division victor, qualified for the playoffs with a losing 7-9 record, the NFC East was made fun of and called the NFC ‘Least’. The Cowboys finished 6-10 this season without their top quarterback Dak Prescott because of a terrible ankle injury sustained early in the season.
But those setbacks in 2020 helped prepare the way for the addition of a key component to their championship-winning puzzle: superstar linebacker Micah Parsons, who was selected with the 12th overall choice in the 2021 NFL draft, to the team.
