DeVante Parker, a former Louisville wide receiver, joins the New England Patriots in a trade with the Miami Dolphins.
Quarterback Mac Jones has obtained assistance from the New England Patriots.
DeVante Parker, a seasoned wide receiver, has joined New England, according to his agent Jimmy Gould.
Parker and a 2022 fifth-round pick will be sent by the Patriots to the Miami Dolphins in exchange for their 2023 third-round selection, according per ESPN. The 29-year-old will provide the Patriots with an established and seasoned wide receiver. Parker, who stands 6 feet 3 inches tall and weighs 219 pounds, caught 40 catches in 10 games the previous season for 515 yards and two scores.
Gould expressed his gratitude to coach Belichick and Mr. Kraft for their perseverance in bringing DeVante to fruition as well as their belief in him.
The Patriots made this decision in free agency after deciding not to add a fan-experienced outside receiver. The group looked into Marquez Valdes-Scantling and other possibilities, but the cost was too expensive.

Head coach Bill Belichick gets a guy he knows well and who fits in financially in Parker. Parker’s deal is for two more years, and he will get $5.65 million this season and $5.7 million in 2023 as his basic pay.
Parker, a Louisville product selected in the first round by the Dolphins in 2015, has played his whole seven-year career in Miami. Three seasons in a row, he has caught over 700 yards. 2019 was his greatest year, with a total of 1,202 receiving yards, nine touchdowns, and 72 catches. His final complete season of play was that one. In 14 games in 2020, Parker ended with 63 receptions for 793 yards and four touchdowns.
He appeared in just 10 games last year and was placed on injured reserve for a while because of a hamstring problem.
