GOOD NEWS: He has finally been signed by Tottenham.

Tottenham signs Bergvall after the youth rejects Barcelona.

Tottenham has signed Djurgården’s Lucas Bergvall for a fixed fee of about €10 million (£8.5 million, $10.9 million) plus add-ons.

The Athletic revealed yesterday that the 18-year-old chose to sign with the north London outfit over Barcelona.

The midfield player, who is highly sought after in Europe, was about to sign a contract with the Spanish team until Spurs, led by their Danish technical director Johan Lange, convinced the Swede to select them instead.

On July 1st of this year, Bergvall will sign a six-year deal with the Spurs, which will keep him with the team till 2029.

The teenager, who played in their 2-1 victory, earned his senior squad debut. He currently plays for the Swedish national team.

I’ll leave you with this: a move that was supposed to happen on the deadline day but didn’t.

In the last hours of the transfer window, Enzo Maresca was unable to sign Inter Milan midfielder Stefano Sensi, his primary target. It’s hard to say how this will impact things in the future.

After all, it’s already an intense competition to finish in the top two of the second tier and earn automatic promotion to the Premier League for the following year.

I’ll simply wish you a fantastic evening and an amazing football weekend to wrap things up.

I’ll see you over on the other side, so bookmark or keep this feed open. The team will make sure that any breaking news is posted here as it happens.

When Tottenham signed the gifted Swedish teenager Lucas Bergvall of Djurgarden, hidden from Barcelona’s view, David Ornstein declared it a victory.

Although Bergvall’s arrival in England will have to wait until the following season, Spurs manager Ange Postecoglou anticipates that the announcement of the acquisition would further solidify the team’s reputation as an excellent place for young players to play.

Radu Dragusin, who signed in January, and this season’s achievements with Destiny Udogie, Pape Matar Sarr, and Micky van de Ven are already examples of the proof. You may view Postecoglou here:
