Terrill Tilmon, a star in-state linebacker, has committed to transfer to Texas Tech. The 6-5, 221-pound Oregon transfer made a 2020 commitment to the Ducks after attending Mansfield Timberview (TX) High School.
Tim DeRuyter, a former Ducks DC who currently plays the same position for the Red Raiders, will rejoin with Tilmon.
After switching from linebacker to tight end and recording five tackles as a true freshman in 2021, Tilmon appeared in just one game for the Ducks in the previous season.
elite 2024 RB class Texas Tech has received Johann Cardenas’ commitment. The product of St. Thomas (TX) High School chose the Red Raiders over UTSA, SMU, and Colorado.
WR Trey Cleveland and Texas Tech DL Syncere Massey have reportedly logged onto the transfer site, according to Matt Zenitz of On3. Coach McGuire’s Longhorns produced Massey, a 6-5, 330-pound athlete from Cedar Hill (TX) High School, who was a part of the 2022 class.
Cleveland, a 6-4, 190-pound wide receiver from Arlington (TX) High School, had action in 24 Red Raider games during which he caught 41 passes for 566 yards and two touchdowns.
Steve Linton, a defensive line transfer from Syracuse, stated on his Twitter account on Monday that he had committed to the Red Raiders.
Linton, a 2019 Dublin High graduate from Georgia, inked a contract with Syracuse as a member of the Orange’s recruiting class. He turned down offers from Arizona State, Baylor, Louisville, Missouri, and a few other schools in favor of Syracuse. During his tenure with the Orange, he played both defensive end and outside linebacker, quickly making a name for himself as one of the most athletic players on the field.
