Bradley Beal is expected to make his Suns comeback against Dallas on Thursday.
Beal strained his hamstring against the Kings last week.

This season, Bradley Beal has gone through a lot. The guard for the Phoenix Suns has previously suffered with a strained hamstring, a fractured nose, a twisted ankle, and back problems. The latter prevented him from playing in the Suns’ 116-100 victory against the Detroit Pistons in their last game before the All-Star Break.

For the past three weeks, Beal has been wearing a mask to save his nose from getting completely destroyed when he took an offensive foul off of Miles Turner’s elbow.

He’s been wearing the mask and playing despite the agony. After the injury, Beal has averaging 19.1 points and 5.4 assists in nine games.

“Luckily we got All-Star break coming up, I’ll have to make a decision whether I’m doing a little bit of a little nose job or not, or wait ’til the offseason,” Beal said, confirming that he did in fact need to have his nose reset.

Duane Rankin of The Arizona Republic reports that Beal underwent surgery on his nose.

A hamstring strain is very different from a nasal injury. Beal has struggled with soft tissue problems throughout of his professional life. Beal departed the game against the Kings on Tuesday in the first quarter, reportedly due to a hamstring strain.

Fortunately, it didn’t seem awful. It didn’t happen as he was briskly running across the court. It happened on a 17-foot leap shot.

Following the game, head coach Frank Vogel remarked, “We’ll call it a hamstring strain.” They don’t believe it is very bad, but he will be released tomorrow. With the break, hopefully, he won’t miss too much time.

According to Rankin, Beal is expected to make a comeback on Thursday in Phoenix’s first game following the break against Dallas in the first leg of a back-to-back.

For the Suns, who are about to take on the most difficult schedule left in the NBA, this is fantastic news. As the tipoff against the Dallas Mavericks on Thursday approaches, we will keep an eye on both Beal’s beak and hammy.
