The Dallas Cowboys were eliminated from the playoffs after losing to the San Francisco 49ers in the Divisional Round. The only thing left to do is work out how to continue playing next year after this. This franchise just can’t seem to figure out the puzzle.
Now that the offseason is truly underway, the Cowboys are proceeding according to the correct schedule. The organization signed five players to Reserve/Futures contracts on Monday afternoon. Not one is very unexpected.

The Cowboys will seemingly have some opportunities at the wide receiver position in 2023 so perhaps Dontario Drummond can compete throughout training camp. That is, of course, a long ways away and the team will re-tool itself plenty before then by way of free agency and the NFL Draft.

Here is a list of all of the Dallas Cowboys players set to hit free agency, in case you were curious.

I had one of my pals (huge iggles fan) and tell me that the iggles reached 7 NFC Championships since 2000. Second only to NE. My response was simple, that’a a nice acheivement but given you’ve only won 1 SB in that time and teams like the giants, bucs, steelers have 2 and even Seattle won one and went to 3, it’s more a reflection of the collossal waste of good teams. My point. We talking about titles. So back to back 12 win seasons is better than back to back 5 win seasons. It’s definitely not a mess, I agree/ But this team is no closer today to getting to a CCG than it was at the end of last season and, given Dak’s pending Cap hit, a lot further.
Any other GM who put together what Jerry has since out last SB woulda been fired 3 separate times in the last 27 seasons. We’re stuck with him. But Jerry has failed spectacularly in that time. Meanwhile, 3 of the last 4 coaches the iggles hired have gone to NFCCG within 3 seasons. Jerry is a clown. Good enough to keep the rubes happy but not good enough to keep people who know what it’s all about (titles) content.
