Adrian Griffin, the coach of the Milwaukee Bucks, was fired. Why? Examining Milwaukee’s unexpected choice

Adrian Griffin, the coach of the Milwaukee Bucks, was dismissed on Tuesday after 43 games. For a club that sits second in the Eastern Conference, this was a devastating setback.

Griffin is said to have had several run-ins with the diverse personalities on the team. The defense has also been problematic the whole season and has worsened recently despite initial encouraging indicators.

His top assistant coach, Terry Stotts, quit at the beginning of the season following an altercation with Griffin. He was reportedly screamed at by the head coach to enter a coaching huddle. Numerous rumors have suggested that Griffin didn’t get along with some of his teammates and his staff. Star Giannis Antetokounmpo and a few other veterans have reportedly lost trust in him, according to NBA source Chris Mannix.

Although there isn’t a definite indication of his dismissal, his status with the Bucks (30-13) may have been impacted by the alleged instances.

Griffin was in his first season as head coach this year. He worked as an assistant coach with the Bucks, Chicago Bulls, Orlando Magic, OKC Thunder, and Toronto Raptors for fifteen seasons before to taking over in Milwaukee.
