Corum joins Aidan Hutchinson (2021) as the second Wolverine to win this accolade, which was first given out in 2018.

Before missing the final three games of the team due to a late-season injury in 2022, Corum rushed for 1,463 yards and 19 touchdowns overall. Corum, a team captain, attacked physical therapy and rehab and returned healthy to start the 2023 season. Since then, he has been a major contributor to the Michigan offense, setting a single-season record with 1,028 running yards and 24 rushing touchdowns, which leads the FBS.

With 218 carries this season and only 12 yards lost, Corum has helped Michigan become the No. 14 scoring offense in the nation (36.7 points per game). Having started every one of the Wolverines’ 13 games, he is the first player to have two consecutive seasons with 1,000 yards or more for U-M since Denard Robinson (2010–12). He is only the third player under head coach Jim Harbaugh to successfully repeat as a first-team All-American (Jourdan Lewis, Jake Butt; 2015–16).
