Florida Panthers vs. Commanders Friday Injury Report: Two players out

The Washington Commanders, who faced the Dallas Cowboys on Thanksgiving, are off for one week. The bad news is that the Miami Dolphins are their next opponent, giving them ten days to get over their 45-10 national televised drubbing.


Two players for Washington are out of the game on Sunday. Emmanuel Forbes was sidelined against the Cowboys due to an elbow injury sustained against the Giants. Although Ron Rivera stated that he would probably be active the following week, he will miss one more game. The team is off. Forbes is expected to rejoin the Commanders in time for their Week 15 matchup with the Los Angeles Rams.

James Smith-Williams has still not been on the field since injuring his hamstring vs the Seahawks three weeks ago. Washington will continue to have Casey Toohill starting at DE with rookies KJ Henry and Andre Jones behind him.

FB/TE Three weeks ago, Alex Armah also sustained a hamstring injury; he hasn’t played since. He had limited practice time earlier in the week, but today he was fully functional. Against the Dolphins, Armah will make his comeback to the active roster.

Due to injuries, three more Washington defenders were unable to practice. CB Emmanuel Forbes was sidelined again against the Giants due to an elbow injury.
