The Nuggets have ruled out Jokic, who was originally doubtful to start the day due to back pain after playing against the San Antonio Spurs yesterday night. It should go without saying that the LA Clippers must seize this opportunity completely.
The Clippers have not defeated the Denver Nuggets for seven straight games, since January 11, 2022. Currently, the Nuggets are missing Nikola Jokic, Jamal Murray, and Aaron Gordon against the Clippers tonight. LA has every single key rotation player available besides Mason Plumlee.
Tonight’s game was originally supposed to be one of the toughest games on the schedule for the Clippers. This game against Denver is the 3rd in 4 nights for LA, and also in the midst of a 5 game in 7 nights stretch. They narrowly lost against the New Orleans Pelicans and dominated the Dallas Mavericks in their first two games. If LA can win this game, it gives them a 2-1 record during this brutal stretch.
The Clippers can’t possibly afford to lose to the Denver Nuggets in this game. Because of their recent losing run versus Denver, they should be the side that is the hungrier and the team that is the best rested and healthy.
