Breaking: Star Running Back Signed by Baltimore Ravens Prior to Trade Deadline
Kenyan Drake, a running back, has joined the Baltimore Ravens practice squad. Shortly before the trade deadline, the former Miami Dolphins standout returned to the Ravens. Ari Meirov, an NFL insider and analyst, tweeted this information.
Drake has only played in one game this season against the Indianapolis Colts. He has been on the Miami Dolphins, Arizona Cardinals, Las Vegas Raiders, and the Baltimore Ravens. He has been in the league since 2016 and has shown that he has the potential to be a great rusher if he is given the proper opportunities.
Drake has amounted to 3,866 rushing yards and 33 touchdowns in his eight-year career. In his best season with the Cardinals back in 2020, he amounted to 955 rushing yards and 10 touchdowns. Since joining the Ravens, he has been trying to get back into his groove.
At this point in the 2023 season, Baltimore has a 6-2 record after eight weeks. In the very difficult AFC North, they are continuing to hold their top spot. However, their next two games—against the Cleveland Browns and the Seattle Seahawks—will be difficult.
Lamar Jackson, the quarterback for the Ravens, has been performing brilliantly lately and has revitalized the offense. The combination of Drake and Jackson’s potent rushing attack could be devastating to rival defenders if Drake is promoted to the 53-man roster.
