Dolphins at. Giants Week 5 Fantasy Football Preview

The week four clash against the Buffalo Bills played up to the expectations for almost a quarter of the game, then the wheels went off for Miami, resulting in a 48-20 loss. The offense appeared out of sync at times, and the defense couldn’t make a play when it needed to for much of the game (a worrying weekly occurrence). With the Giants visiting Miami, there will be possibilities for all phases to be straightened out and re-established. The fantasy outlooks for the following week are shown below.

Tua had a relatively great game—25/35 for little under 300 yards, one touchdown, and one interception for a rating of 92.8—despite what appeared to be a struggle for most of the game. The Bills eliminated the Dolphins’ deep game, and they did not respond as well as they had in prior games this season. For the first time, the offensive line flailed, allowing four sacks after allowing only one in the previous three games. With Armstead out for at least the next four games, the offensive line, as well as the entire team, will seek to rebuild.

The team’s offensive side. I’m not convinced the Giants have the horses to pursue and keep the Dolphins out of the endzone (on many occasions).

Tyreek Hill seemed to be on an every-other-game schedule for his huge games so far. Weeks 1 and 3 had significant games, but Weeks 2 and 4 didn’t (maybe it’s an odd vs. even thing?). In any case, watch for the Cheetah to get back on track this week against the Giants’ secondary. Jaylen Waddle is also looking to get back on track with his big play potential, which has been ‘decent’ but not yet at the level of the prior year. He should have a significant impact on this game as well. Braxton Berrios maintains his strong play, while freshly signed Chase Claypool (who will very definitely not play this game) completes the bunch. This week’s passing game should produce big numbers for fantasy players.

After scoring eight touchdowns against the Broncos in week three, Raheem Mostert and rookie wonder De’von Achane (now properly pronounced A-Chan) combined for two in week four. Miami avoided the run early and frequently in a game where the coverage taunted the running game, totaling 19 carries. Mostert failed to keep the ball and create an impression. Achane had another strong game, this time with just over 100 yards on only 8 carries and two touchdowns. The emphasis this week will be on getting the rushing assault back on track in a big way. Achane

Mostert appears to be gradually taking over as the starting running back, but he remains a strong bet this week against a Giants defense that struggles to stop the rush.

Durham Smythe remains the tight-end group’s mainstay. He’s been consistent throughout the season, contributing both in the passing game and blocking when needed. He appears to be a consistent play for four catches and 40 yards or so, with a TD thrown in at some point! In fantasy football, tight end is swiftly becoming a two-horse race, and if you don’t have Kelce, Kittle, or even Hockenson, points are simply not accruing on a weekly basis. Julian Hill appears to be getting more playing time now that he is healthy, and he looks the part; he is highly agile and has a lot of size. Hill is visible to me.

getting more reps and providing an underneath outlet for Tua as the season progresses.

The hiring of coach Fangio during the summer raised everyone’s expectations of this defensive team. What wasn’t immediately apparent was that it would take time to fully understand the playbook and begin playing the manner we expect (as well as them, I’m sure). The pass rush was non-existent with Jaelan Phillips out, and Josh Allen appeared to have all day to pass. Bradley Chubb, who made his presence known in week three, was a forgotten man this week. Wilkins and Sieler can only do so much, and they appear to be struggling, which is unusual. The inability to make defensive adjustments during the game allowed the

Bills were free to do whatever they pleased at any time. Kader Kohou has been an amazing find, although he has battled to control Stefon Diggs (as many defensive backs do). But he was left one-on-one with him the whole game, allowing his three touchdowns. With the exception of newly acquired David Long, linebackers appear to be struggling this season. In the absence of the Giants this week and moving forward, expect Fangio and the team to improve on their play and adjustments against the big play. Miami is expected to provide pressure after New York allowed 11 sacks to Seattle in their last game. I believe by midway, and.

Hopefully, this unit will get back on track and become a top 15 unit much sooner. On a weekly basis, though, they are not highly advised in fantasy (or real life).

Jason Sanders converted two extra-point attempts while not trying a field goal. It’s difficult to judge whether Sanders is returning to form or will continue to struggle with long-distance kicks. Jake Bailey made an appearance this week (after what appeared to be a month’s absence) and played well, averaging 46 yards per punt. Braxton Berrios appears to be a competent returner but has yet to break off a return. He’s sure-handed and looks the part, and he’s obviously more confident in the return game this year than in previous years.
