Hjalmar Ekdal’s injury status is updated by Burnley manager Vincent Kompany following the defender’s stretcher exit against Nottingham Forest.
Vincent Kompany worries that Burnley’s thrilling Carabao Cup victory over Nottingham Forest may have resulted in a serious knee injury for Hjalmar Ekdal.
Following a collision in the Burnley box, the defender needed oxygen on the field before being carried off by a stretcher.
Vitinho and Aaron Ramsay were also forced to leave the game due to injuries during the last-second 1-0 victory, which sets up a third-round matchup away to Salford City. Ekdal was one of three players to suffer an injury.
