David Moyes must rest a West Ham United player for the Liverpool match.

David Moyes must take a risk and bench a West Ham player for our match against Liverpool next week.

West Ham United played well overall against Manchester City yesterday, but we lost 3-1, and David Moyes will be disappointed with a few of errors.

The Hammers have started the 2023/24 season well, but there is one major issue that I am concerned about.

Nayef Aguerd has done a lot of good, yet he has also made some serious mistakes.

And I believe Moyes should remove him from the firing line…

David Moyes must rest a West Ham United player for the Liverpool match.
Aguerd, 27, was at fault for Manchester City’s second goal yesterday at the London Stadium.

The main concern here is that this was not a one-time occurrence; rather, it appears to be happening far too frequently.

The former Rennes star, who was purchased for £30 million last summer, must swiftly realize that mistakes in the Premier League against the best teams are almost always punished.

He has been hugely disappointing this season in my opinion – I expected far more from him.

David Moyes must drop West Ham United player for Liverpool clash

Listen, I’m not suggesting Nayef Aguerd is finished as a West Ham player; I just think David Moyes should rest him for a few games.

Konstantinos Mavropanos and Angelo Ogbonna are both more experienced operators than the Moroccan.

Aguerd’s positional awareness, impulsive decision making, and error-prone disposition have already cost the Hammers this season.

And, in my opinion, David Moyes must immediately drop the West Ham player for his own good.

The 23-year-old West Ham player’s stint in east London appears to be coming to an end.

West Ham United have had a strong start to the season, but perhaps not for one of its stars who was once supposed to be destined for greatness.

David Moyes must be pleased with his team’s response since winning the Europa Conference League at the end of the 2022/23 season.

Clubs frequently lose steam after reaching the pinnacle of a tournament, but the Hammers have the bit between their teeth and are proving difficult to beat in 2023/24.

One player who hasn’t been engaged recently is 23-year-old Ben Johnson, who appears to be on his way out at the end of the season when his contract expires.

According to Hammers News, Johnson was selected to play for West Ham’s U21 side on Friday night, very definitely indicating that Moyes no longer regards him as a first-team option.

Given how brilliantly the east Londoners have started the season, there’s little chance he’ll make an immediate impact in Moyes’ plans, and at his age, he really needs to be playing consistently.

While the club may be able to obtain something for his services in January if they opt to trade him sooner rather than later, taking his salary off the books may allow them to cut their losses if the player is of confirmed interest.
