Andre Gomes is likely to join Fenerbahce from Everton in a £4.3 million move.
According to Fotomac, Everton would allow Andre Gomes to leave the club in a £4.3 million agreement to join Fenerbahce before the deadline on Friday.

The Turkish news outlet reports on their official website (13 September) that a deal for the former Portugal international has been approved by all parties.

Gomes isn’t part of Sean Dyche’s plans for the season and Everton are willing to take £4.3m to let him leave and avoid losing him for free next summer when his contract expires.

“While Fenerbahçe’s search for a midfielder continues, Everton’s Andre Gomes has also been mentioned,” they said.

“The work on this transfer has also been confirmed by the British press.” In the announcement, Everton stated that they would accept an offer for the player.

“Even €5m (£4.3m) will be accepted for Gomes, whose contract is set to expire at the end of the season.”

When Gomes departed Goodison Park on loan for Lille last summer, it was evident that he had no future at the club, and no one expected him to still be here at this stage.

Gomes hasn’t played a single game this season under Dyche, not even making the matchday squads for the four Premier League games so yet.

The 30-year-old is eager to go on and restart his career, while Everton is eager to cash in and get his salaries off the books while recouping some money for him, so this arrangement is ideal for everyone.

Fenerbahce want him to add depth to their squad, and with the Turkish transfer market closing on Friday night, there are only about 48 hours left for a move to be agreed upon and completed.

It is plausible at this point, and it is only a matter of time before the legalities are completed and everyone can go on without any bad blood.

Player leaves international match ‘practically in tears’ – Everton issues appear to have followed him

Yerry Mina’s extensive injury history appears to have followed him from Everton, with the defender facing another layoff after injuring himself while on international duty.

Tuttomercatoweb covers the defender today, and Mina’s new setback adds to his long list of injury concerns.

The Colombian defender left Everton on a free transfer this summer after rejoining the club near the end of last season to help them avoid relegation.

He eventually ended himself at Fiorentina, maybe expecting that the Italian sun and a different way of life would help him get back on track and put his injury concerns to rest.
He has yet to play for the Serie A club as he works his way back to full fitness, with the club taking the prudent approach of easing him in.

They can’t help but avoid injuries when on international duty, and Mina has discovered one while with Colombia.

According to TMW, the defender suffered a muscular injury in last night’s 0-0 draw with Chile, forcing him to leave the game in the 22nd minute.
