Everton transfer news: Significant sale update as Swansea, Coventry City and Sunderland eye Ellis Simms deal

.Everton striker Ellis Simms is reportedly subject to transfer interest from Swansea, Coventry City and Sunderland this summer

According to the Sunderland Echo [4 July, Page 35], Swansea are expected to make a “significant” sale in their pursuit to afford the Toffees forward while the same can be said about the play-off finalists Coventry as well.

Times journalist Paul Joyce claimed that the 22-year-old may even cost as much as £10million this summer amid EFL interest.

Currently, it seems like the two clubs most interested in him are Swansea and Coventry and they’re even lining up big sales to sign him.

For Swansea, it could be Joel Piroe possibly leaving while for Coventry, the interest in Viktor Gyokeres does not seem to be going away.

If Everton are smart, they look to include Simms in the deal and ensure that they can sign Gyokeres – if he’s willing to move to the Premier League instead of Portugal.

It remains to be seen how much Everton can get for the striker but it’s clear that Sean Dyche does not seem to rate him enough for him to be a regular in the first team.

He may have made headlines with his goal against Chelsea, but does not seem ready to do it on a consistent basis.

If there are multiple clubs keen on securing his services, a bidding war may even be on the cards which is a good news for the Toffees.
