‘Excellent’ Cody Drameh will ‘come good again’ after poor mistake v Ipswich Town
We’re delighted to welcome former England goalkeeper Paul Robinson as our exclusive columnist as each week he’ll be giving his views on the biggest talking points at Leeds United …
Cody Drameh will bounce back after his fatal error against Ipswich Town and has a “big future” at Leeds United, according to Paul Robinson.
Their efficient attack made up for a poor defensive display for the Whites as they earned a hard-fought 4-3 away victory. Drameh gave Ipswich a chance back into the game after a weak backpass allowed Nathan Broadhead to make it 3-2 to Leeds on the stroke of halftime.
Drameh himself was a first-half substitute for the injured Sam Byram, but the 21-year-old was taken out of the action at half-time, just moments after his error.
Robinson claims that while we can’t be certain why the full-back was taken off, he will “come good again” for Leeds and has backed Farke to continue his progression with “more games” and “more minutes”.
Speaking exclusively to MOT Leeds News, Robinson said: “We’re not privy to information about why he was substituted, but the manager will know whether it was tactical or an injury.
“But as far as Drameh is concerned, he had an excellent season at Luton last year. They would have been disappointed not to keep him this season.
“I think Farke will give him the opportunity to start more games and get more minutes despite the mistake.
“He’s an absolutely exciting young talent who will come good again, whether it be next week or the week after when he gets his opportunity. He’s a player that I really like.
“I think he’s got a big future at the club.”
