Fulham interested in signing Juventus forward Moise Kean
Fulham have enquired about the availability of Juventus forward Moise Kean after selling Aleksandar Mitrovic to Al Hilal, 90min understands.
The Cottagers confirmed that Mitrovic had joined the Saudi Pro League on Saturday, stating in a press release that they received a “club-record transfer fee” for the striker. Mitrovic had been Fulham’s star front man since joining the club in 2018, scoring an impressive 111 goals in 206 appearances and winning the player of the year award on two occasions.
His absence was felt in Fulham’s clash with Brentford at Craven Cottage at the weekend. Marco Silva’s men were restricted to just two shots on target throughout the eventual 3-0 defeat.
Due to the sale of Mitrovic, Fulham are now in the market for a new starting striker and sources have confirmed that the club have reached out to Juventus in order to enquire about Kean’s availability.
Kean has spent the last two seasons on loan at Juve from Everton – a club he unceremoniously flopped at after making a £23.5m move to Goodison Park in 2019 – and became key squad player under Massimiliano Allegri. In his two loan seasons, the Italian forward made 82 appearances across all competitions and has been signed outright by the club for £25m over the summer.
Despite this however, sources have confirmed to 90min that Juventus would be open to selling Kean and that the player himself is open to the move to Craven Cottage.
Juventus are keen to sell outright, while Fulham are leaning towards making an offer of a loan with and option to buy; there’s confidence that a middle ground of a loan with an obligation to buy could be found during the negotiations.
The sale of Kean would have knock on effects for the future of Dusan Vlahovic in Turin. The Serbian striker has been heavily linked a move away from Juventus, with 90min reporting that Vlahovic was even offered to Chelsea in exchange for Romelu Lukaku earlier in August – something that was rebuffed by the Blues. But with Kean potentially leaving, Juventus will likely keep hold of Vlahovic.
