Report: Tottenham are now battling Burnley for £22m-rated forward
The Daily Mail have revealed that Tottenham Hotspur and Burnley are both eyeing a move for FC Nordsjaelland attacker Ernest Nuamah.
Nuamah has created waves in the Danish top flight since joining Nordsjaelland back in January of last year, with the wide-forward netting 15 goals and registering four assists across all competitions last season (Transfermarkt).
The 19-year-old has started the new campaign with a bang, with four goals and an assist in the first four league games, and his performances have seemingly caught the eye of clubs in the Premier League as well as around Europe.
Tottenham and Burnley both like Ernest Nuamah
The Mail claim that Spurs are among Nuamah’s admirers and have made an enquiry about the player but it is Burnley who are the ‘most advanced’ with their interest.
The report adds that Everton are also fans of the Ghana international but his price tag of £22m is expected to prove prohibitive for the Toffees.
The outlet asserts that the likes of AC Milan and Paris Saint-Germain also have their eye on the Nordsjaelland starlet.

The one thing Postecoglou might have realised following the Man United and Brentford games is that he needs one more wide player who is aggressive in one vs one situations.
While Son is a world-class finisher, he is no longer the sort of ball carrier he was in his earlier in his career. Ange does have an option on the bench in Solomon, but he might want another top-notch dribbler in the squad, particularly with Gil injured.

Burnley signing, Palace in on duo, Ndidi to Bayern, Castagne to Arsenal, Kristiansen, Soumare are all transfer talking points
There are still a few days left of this summer transfer window, closing the first day of September. Still a lot to do in both departments, in and out, with the recent arrival from Chelsea, Cesare Casadei making his debut yesterday with a special goal, securing a 2-1 win vs. Cardiff at home.
Burnley midfielder Josh Brownhill, still a pivotal player at Turf Moor, but at 27 years of age, reaching a crucial time in his career, probably thinking of his next career path with a deal running out in the summer. Leicester is said to be among clubs considering a bid for the highly rated midfielder.
Wilfred Ndidi is one player that looks to be part of some sort of plan under Enzo Maresca, but his future has been discussed heavily during the summer with different moves being lined up, the recent club to be mentioned is Bayern Munich.
Last season became a difficult one for Ndidi, losing form, struggling with minor injuries and not really managing to keep his momentum at a level we have seen before. He has been at Leicester since 2017, joining from Genk under the time Claudio Ranieri’s was in charge. In earlier seasons we have seen Real Madrid and Liverpool being linked with the Nigerian international, and if the German giants are interested, Ndidi might leave the club.
You can’t always use the line-up and list of players in a team as a benchmark on players leaving, but surely Timothy Castagne and Daniel Iversen are both seen as possible departures, not being part of any action so far, and having qualities that should see them in play if they were not seen as possible departures. Daniel Iversen is valued to £5million, at this point being linked with a move to Crystal Palace as the latest talk.
Timothy Castagne could still be one Arsenal consider as they look to get more players out. Kieran Tierney is one player that looks to have no future at The Emirates, and with him gone, there would be an open slot to fill. Rob Holding is another player that could be on the way out, and surely one interesting to watch also as a swop could be considered, with Enzo Maresca said to be keen on bringing in a new central defender. Inter, Juventus and Fulham are other clubs seen as possible destinations. Castagne is believed to be back in full contention for a place if he is not to be sold in the this window,
Kelechi Iheanacho also have an uncertain future at Leicester with a contract, as Wilfred Ndidi, running out next summer. A player that would be a catch for most clubs with Crystal Palace and Everton both said to have shown an interest.
Victor Kristiansen is a player that could be leaving the club. Serie A clubs Atalanta, Bologna and Lazio are all said to be interested in the young Denmark full international, and his talent is one to understand, but at this time he looks far from a starting position at Leicester with Callum Doyle, James Justin and Luke Thomas all good alternatives on his preferred role, left back or left flank.
Bouba Soumare must be desperate to see a change in his career after the arrival of Enzo Maresca. Brendan Rodgers never really rated him as high as you would expect, coming in a sa Ligue 1 winner with Lille and being spotted as one of the most interesting midfielders in France at that point. Dean Smith took him to his heart and played him in all his games from start, surely seeing the talent, but under Maresca it’s been a full freeze. Napoli and Marseille were both mentioned earlier on as a possible destination, but lately it’s been quiet.
Patson Daka has been on the radar of Everton and Monaco, and we do believe the Zambia international looks to move if and when the correct contract proposal appear on the table.
With a Patson Daka sale, you will still have good and top options in Iheanacho and Vardy, so it will be no panic act for a forward addition, but still it can happen, to follow up on all the rumours, be sure to look up our hot, cool and cold categories, as you have the full view of players linked with a move to Leicester.
There are still a number of questions to be asked before the end of this transfer window, and surely a great number of rumours that will be popping up, in a Enzo Maresca chase for a perfect balance to his team and squad.
