Russell Wilson is currently in the NFL Playoffs with the Pittsburgh Steelers, but he’s a free agent in 2025 and could be with a new team. It may seem like peaches and roses, but on the back of a current 4 game losing streak as well as a brutal matchup against the Ravens, the Steelers could opt to go in a different direction at quarterback.
Russell Wilson still proved that he is a capable quarterback and for a team in the New York Giants that may not be drafting a quarterback in the draft this season. If they choose to go an opposite direction, Russell Wilson is a perfect bridge quarterback for them.
This could allow them to draft a quarterback in Round Two like a Jalen Milroe to sit and develop instead of thrusting that QB into a role with a Head Coach who is arguably on the hot seat.
