Everton twist as new Bramley-Moore Dock concerns emerge

There are new Everton concerns that they may have to remain at Goodison Park for another two seasons after new overhead shots of their new Bramley-Moore dock development, according to the Daily Mail.

Pictures taken of their new development just two years to the day work started on the new build, taken by Daily Mail photographer Bruce Adams last Wednesday (26 July) shows what appears to be just a skeletal structure.

The Toffees are expected to complete their new stadium build in the final months of next year, according to the Liverpool Echo (6 July) but after these new shots, there are now concerns as to whether that deadline can be fulfilled.

Just so long as it’s done

Those new images shown by the Daily Mail (31 July, page 56) is certainly a cause for concern, especially for an Everton fanbase who desperately need some encouragement heading into the new campaign.

There haven’t been many exciting times for Everton fans in recent seasons, with off-field distractions playing a major role in on-field failures.

The Toffees have now been involved in a Premier League relegation battle for the last two campaigns, narrowly avoiding the dreaded feat on both occasions.

The new Bramley-Moore dock stadium is supposed to be the beginning of an exciting new era on the blue half of Merseyside, with the build proposed to be completed midway through the 2024/25 campaign, but that now looks very unlikely after the new images that’s emerged.

Everton may well have to remain in Goodison Park for the next two seasons, despite many fans believing that a new stadium could change their fortunes for the better. But the wait to taste that great feeling could be a long while yet.

Let’s hope this forthcoming season is not another whirlwind disappointing journey that increases the desperation for the club to move quickly on this new stadium build. The Everton faithful deserve some joy after so long.
