Alabama football recruiting 2025:Ranking Alabama football’s 2025 recruiting class: Who will have instant impact
As of midday Wednesday, DeBoer and the Crimson Tide have the No. 3 recruiting class nationally behind Texas and Georgia, helped by signing five-star quarterback Keelon Russell, five-star offensive lineman Michael Carroll and five-star cornerback Dijon Lee.
Will Alabama football sign any more 2025 players?
Alabama football seems to be close to done finalizing its 2025 recruiting class.
Potential flip targets in safety Anquon Fegans (Auburn) and cornerback Maison Dunn (Ole Miss) signed elsewhere. Alabama is waiting on potential flips from four-star wide receiver Derek Meadows, currently committed to LSU, and four-star cornerback Donovan Starr, currently committed to Auburn.
Paired with 5-foot-9 signee Lotzeir Brooks, Derek Meadows gives Alabama another extreme in its wide receiver class. Meadows, a four-star wide receiver out of Bishop Gorman High School in Las Vegas, stands at 6-foot-5, 200 pounds, flipping his commitment from LSU and signing with the Crimson Tide. He’s had 15 touchdown receptions in his past two seasons, bringing in 39 catches for 989 receiving yards in 2023 and 2024 combined per MaxPreps. Expect Meadows to be the big-bodied red-zone threat of a receiver to pair with the shifty and fast Brooks.
Standing at 6-foot-1, 200-pounds, the four-star running back has been committed to Alabama since August. He is the second running back in Alabama’s 2025 cycle with Jace Clarizio. Dear was an original Ole Miss commit before decommitting in June and changing his commitment to the Crimson Tide and coach Kalen DeBoer in August.
The 6-foot-6, 240-pound prospect will be a nice addition to the Crimson Tide’s tight end room which is heavy-loaded with talent and experience in seniors CJ Dippre, Robbie Ouzts and redshirt junior Josh Cuevas. He will be a pass catching threat with 71 receptions for 709 yards and nine touchdowns his senior year.
