No surprise as Everton move ahead of West Ham in race to sign electric rising star El Bilal Toure
No surprise for Hammers fans as Everton move ahead of West Ham in the race to sign electric rising star El Bilal Toure.
Both West Ham and Everton have – among other clubs in Serie A and Saudi – been heavily linked with a move for exciting striker El Bilal Toure in the summer transfer window.
The Hammers are the only club in the Premier League yet to sign a new player for their first team.
Everton meanwhile have brought in Ashley Young and former West Ham target Arnaut Danjuma.
Both Toffees boss Sean Dyche and his West Ham counterpart David Moyes are said to be scouring the market looking for a new striker.
That’s hardly surprising given the futures of Gianluca Scamacca and Michail Antonio both uncertain at West Ham. And Everton had chronic goalscoring problems for the vast majority of last season.

Indeed West Ham forward Antonio has been linked with a move to Everton since the January window.
But one name allegedly on the wishlists of both West Ham and Everton is that of Almeria striker Toure.
According to reports last month, West Ham and Everton were two of the clubs in the running to sign 21-year-old hotshot Toure.
He has also been been linked with Serie A side Atalanta.
The powerful, pacy striker scored seven goals and laid on two assists in just 15 La Liga starts for Almeria last season.
There was bad news for Dyche last week when it was reported that West Ham were ready and able to meet the forward’s £35m release clause.
But there’s no surprise for fans as Everton move ahead of West Ham in the race to sign electric rising star Toure.
‘Everton negotiations continue to get it done’
Because according to Fabrizio Romano, the race is now down to a straight fight between Everton and Atalanta.
“Understand Everton are still pushing to sign El Bilal Toure while Atalanta are on it too,” Romano said on Twitter.
“Both clubs are in the race, fighting to sign Almeria striker.
“Everton negotiations will continue next week to get it done.
“Concrete name for Everton.”
Frustrating window continues for Hammers
West Ham have already missed out on Viktor Gyokeres, a player scouted extensively by Moyes in person last season, to Sporting.
The Hammers also missed out on attacker Harvey Barnes to Newcastle.
And many supporters are starting to get seriously concerned with the new season less than three weeks away now.
Especially after tragic claims regarding the club’s transfer activity from an insider over the weekend.
Man City starlet Carlos Borges does look set to break West Ham’s transfer duck in this window.
But another Hammers target, Armando Broja, allegedly has no interest in leaving Chelsea.
Whether Everton can beat Atalanta to Toure remains to be seen.
