Slash has returned to the stage after the tragic loss of his stepdaughter Lucy-Bleu Knight.
The Guns N’ Roses guitarist performed at his S.E.R.P.E.N.T. Festival at Pier 17 in New York City on August 4. S.E.R.P.E.N.T. Festival is Slash’s blues tour that is in support of his latest blues album Orgy Of The Damned. This was the first time Slash has been on stage for his current tour since the death of his 25-year-old stepdaughter. He had previously canceled a string of dates in the wake of the tragedy.
Slash had first announced the news of Lucy-Bleu’s death to fans on July 21. He wrote: “Lucy-Bleu Knight (December 6, 1998), beloved daughter of Meegan Hodges and Mark Knight, stepdaughter of Samantha Somers Knight and Slash, sister of Scarlet Knight, stepsister of London and Cash Hudson, passed away peacefully in Los Angeles, CA on July 19, 2024.
“Lucy-Bleu was an incredibly talented artist, a passionate dreamer, and a charming, lovable, sweet soul. The family asks for privacy at this time and requests that social media speculation be kept to a minimum as they grieve and process this devastating loss,” he concluded.
The 59-year-old first dated Lucy-Bleu’s mother in 1989 and the two rekindled their relationship in 2015. Although the two are not married, he became stepfather to Lucy-Bleu and her sister Scarlet Rae Knight.
